On December 6, 2008 a rather large group of individuals gathered at the north end of Kyle Field in the Bernard C. Richardson Zone Club. After a tasty meal of BBQ with all the “fixins” the group was addressed by Coach Pat Henry. Coach Henry introduced his staff of coaches and his right hand man, Brian Bancroft. Next, Coach Henry outlined his plan to create and nurture a group which would and could oversee the conduct of the track and field program and schedule. Basically, the A&M Track and Field Officials Association was born!
That first “practice meet” in December was followed quickly by a variety of meets – including the “Big 12” and the “NCAA Indoor Championship”. Many of you survived the baptism of rules, techniques, schedules and worked at many, if not all of those meets. In doing so, you gave legitimate, sound input to the formation of said association.

In the weeks and months that followed, the Board worked hard, taking steps so that forward progress continued.
It is obvious that this is ALREADY the best Officials Association … anywhere … period!
