The membership in the Texas A&M Track & Field Officials Association
consist of two groups of individuals…
The Board of Directors and the Track & Field Officials.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS … are a select group of individuals from among the Track & Field Officials. They volunteer their time, talents and service to ensure that the Texas A&M Track & Field Officials Association is running smoothly.

The Board’s primary responsibility is one of honesty and integrity on behalf of stakeholders, supporters and other key individual and organizations/groups, ensuring that the legal entity, i.e. the company or association, remains viable and effective in the present and for the future. The Board is ultimately accountable for all organization matters.

The board’s ultimate job is to effectively maintain the present and create the future, not micromanage the Texas A&M Track & Field Officials Association.

TRACK & FIELD OFFICIALS (Information below taken from USATF)

Training and certification of officials is central to USATF’s goal of ensuring fair and safe competitive opportunities for athletes. The training and certification processes promote a serious and professional approach to officiating and demonstrate an official’s commitment to excellence. As an official gains experience, exposure to correct officiating practices, and additional training, USATF recognizes this skill development through progressive levels of certification:  Association to National to Master.

USATF Officials are committed to providing a safe sport that maintains only the highest ethical and honorable standards. As the national governing body for track and field, long distance running and race walking, USATF has developed the following Code of Conduct to hold Officials to those Standards. USATF hereby adopts the following Code of Conduct to govern Officials. A USATF Official agrees to abide by this Code of Conduct, and shall not evade, violate or circumvent, whether directly or indirectly, this Code of Conduct.
