For your dedication during the 2015-16 Cross Country &
Indoor Track & Field seasons … THANK YOU!

Download Thank You letter

Dear Officials,

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their efforts throughout the cross country and indoor track season. The success of our meets is built on the efforts of our officials and we have enjoyed many successes throughout the two seasons. Thank you for the dedication, loyalty and commitment that each one of you has shown us.  On behalf of the Texas A&M Track and Field staff, please allow me to extend my personal and genuine appreciation to each and every one of you for your valuable contributions to this school and team.

The two seasons went by extremely fast and it has been reassuring to know that we can count on all of you regardless of the challenges that may arise.  On that note, we are looking forward to some very big and exciting meets in the next few years.  We will be hosting the 2017 and 2018 Indoor NCAA Track and Field Championships and the 2018 Indoor SEC Track and Field Championships.  We hope all of you will be able to join us in hosting some of the biggest collegiate track meets in the coming years. Additionally, we will be putting on a one day certification clinic this spring.  More information on this will be emailed at a later date.

Again, it was a pleasure working with all of you this season and we offer our best wishes and happiness to you and your families as we all look forward to a successful 2016 cross country and 2017 indoor season!

Doug isn’t just a Track & Field Official, he’s also an active member of the Team USA Triathlon. Currently his athletic journey is taking him to the 2016 USA Triathlon Age Group National Championship. The events will be held on August 14, 2016 in Omaha Nebraska.

During the 2015 triathlon racing season last summer, Doug was selected to participate in this championship event. He was chosen because he is in the top 10% of the athletes in his age group.

“My goal,” states Doug, “is to place as one of the top 18 participants in my age group. By doing so, I will qualify for the World’s in Rotterdam Netherlands.”
