Doc’s mission here on earth has been completed. On Thursday, Sept. 27th, in Houston, Texas, he took his final command. As a master USATF official, Doc served as a clerk at numerous track & field events throughout the nation. At every meet, you could always catch him at the finish line performing his duties with zeal and enthusiasm.

For anyone seeking to become a head clerk, Doc has left his mark, detailed examples to follow, and a pair of very big shoes to fill (not literally)! Those who were blessed to know him, meet him, learn from him, or play an occasional card game with him, you were gifted with the pleasure of many valuable lessons and discussions… yes, literally!

Doc was loved greatly and will be truly missed by many, many, many coaches, officials, athletes, and mostly his family. Please keep his family in your prayers in the coming days. Please send all gifts/donations/cards/flowers to:

Per the family’s request, Doc will be cremated.

11:00am – 11:15am – a military veteran’s honorary, memorial service

12:00noon – a celebratory gathering of family and friends
